Politicians on the left and Republican Ron Paul share one thing in common: they believe that the War on Terror is our (the U.S.'s) fault. Essentially, they believe that the war is the result of bad foreign policy: we stuck our noses in the Middle East and as a result tens of thousands or perhaps even hundreds of thousands of people have died. They prefer an isolationist policy in which our troops should be withdrawn from Iraq and brought home.

Isolationism, though, is the wrong path to take. The problem is, of course, that the global jihadists won't leave us alone if we back down. They are intent on destroying us and Western civilization with us. They have attacked dozens of other countries from Great Britain to Australia. I find it hard to fathom why, if it is all the fault of the United States and George Bush, they are attacking Australia and other such countries, particularly when the contributions of these countries to the war is miniscule compared to that of the United States. The fact is that this is a "global" jihad. No one is safe, no matter what kind of losing deal they might strike with the jihadists. Islamists have carried out over 10,000 deadly terrorists attacks since September 11, 2001 (http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/). That is in the neighborhood of three a day, every day for the past seven years-a horrifying and disturbing figure by any stretch of the imagination.

And if we adopt an isolationist stance in the face of this onslaught, we will only embolden our enemies. If we run from the battlefield with our tail between our legs, they will follow us, and all too soon suicide bombers will be striking on American soil.

Takeaways
  • What the jihadists have done.
  • What we should not do--adopt an isolationist stance.
  • The advantages of the enemy.

Iraq was switching to the Euro which was going to hurt the US in world trade economy. By invading Iraq violating a UN Charter the US became global war criminals. This has inspired world wide hatred and people do fight back against bullies. If what Deez says is correct about Ron Paul, then I too agree with Ron Paul on our creation of terrorists making us more unsafe then ever before. Fair trade and respecting all people is the best way to stop terrorism. As it is, the terrorist US of A is in danger of being destroyed from a united global effort to squash us.

I ruled Ron Paul out as my choice for President for several reasons. Number one is he does not believe females have the same rights as men, which is a danger to women who have long struggled to have the same human rights as the guys to make choices that only affect their own lives. I also feel he is too old and out of touch with the reality of life for citizens living in poverty in the USA. His wife probably was not required to have a business license nor government inspection and regulation of her home when she started a dance school in her basement. People that own homes today are losing them at an alarming rate. I think we need more elected officials that honor the Constitution, especially separation of church and state. The War on Terror is a GWB creation to rally the people to kill people so that the USA could destroy a country to gain control of oil.

"He's an Isolationist," I hear this a lot about Ron Paul but it is just not true. What is true is he believes in trading with all nations, open communication with all nations, and Non-Nation building, and he believe we should never start a war we should never attack first. Now, can you explain to me how this is Isolationism? Cause I just don't get it. You and others like you have bought the Neo-Con agenda hook line and sinker. Don't you think it's time you started thinking for yourself.
