We've Been "Bitten" by Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker has been causing quite a stir lately on the internet and on the television with the new release of her clothing line aptly titled "Bitten Sarah Jessica Parker." You may be asking yourself why in the world a clothing line by such a person would be so controversial, well so was I until I researched it on the internet. You'd be surprised what you can dig up when you search the word "Bitten" on Google.com.

I first came across Parker's website for the clothing line which you can view at www.bittensjp.com. The site is quite informational with pictures and descriptions of her clothing and how it came to fruition. Her claim to fame? A collection of clothes designed for women of all ages and sizes at an affordable price. As her tag line for her clothes states so clearly, "Fashion is not a luxury, it's a right."

Parker's designs were inspired by her own wardrobe, with added help from clothing store Steve and Barry's and has been featured on the hit television show Project Runway. Bitten contains over 1,000 pieces, including jeans, tops, jewelry, shoes, belts, classic pieces, casual pieces, and lounge wear. Bitten is sold exclusively at Steve and Barry's and worry not, nothing is over twenty dollars. And as an added bonus, pieces come in sizes ranging from 2-22, so everyone is sure to find something they'll love.

Seems pretty grand right? A woman who is in love with fashion designs a high fashion low priced wardrobe we can love as much as Parker herself. This may be, but is it as original as we think it is? Oprah recently featured Bitten on her show, unfortunately the audience didn't seem as enthusiastic as Oprah to see the discount fashion.

Could this be because Bitten has been copying from designers such as Anna Corinna? Allwomenstalk.com thinks so. Yes, sometimes it is fun to have a knockoff designer bag, but some may say "where's the line between being inspired and copying"? Either way, Parker's Bitten line is sure to continue drawing enthusiasm one way or another from people of all ages, sizes, and financial backgrounds.
