The NVIDIA 8800GT Video Card: Great Price and Performance
One of the best video cards available right now is the NVIDIA 8800GT 512MB. The 8800GT performs just as well as many of its more expensive counterparts, such as the 8800GTX and 8800GTS but it is quite a bit cheaper. Surprisingly, the 8800GT not only competes with the higher price cards but it actually out performs the 8800GTS on some tests.
I recently built a new computer, and when it came to the video card, I was prepared to pay for the 8800GTS, because I hadn't heard anything about the 8800GT. When I did more research on available video cards I realized, the 8800GT is the the best card you can get for the price. This card runs all the latest games like: Call of Duty 4 and Crysis very smoothly. The only drawback to the 8800GT is that it doesn't perform as well when you reach very high resolutions. As long as you keep the resolution below 2000 pixels wide the 8800GT will run any game on highest settings.
One of most outstanding aspects of the 8800GT is the price. In many cases the 8800GT sells for $250 dollars or less. NVIDIA initially released the 8800GT with little expectation for it to become popular, making it quite difficult to find any of these cards initially. After the incredible success of the 8800GT NVIDIA manufacturers decided to drastically increase production. As a result finding an 8800GT is much easier than it had been previously.
