Product Review: Princess Electric KN2047 250 Watts Juicer

I was forced to buy the Princess Electric KN2047 Juicer after my previous Jack Lalanne Juicer broke after 18 months of use. I expected this to serve at least for a year but sadly this had a premature break down and the motor refused to budge after two months. I called up the customer
service and got it replaced immediately. Even the new juicer is not doing a good show and I am not at all satisfied by its performance. I was just wondering what is the 250 watt motor doing and why is it underutilized? It is so sad that the Princess Juicer shows a pathetic performance in spite of the 250 watt motor and especially when the cheaper juicers with the same motor capacity are doing a better job.

This is largely made of plastic and I did not make a big fuss about it because the previous Jack Lalanne had plastic parts. But there is a huge difference in the quality of the material used and the plastic base of the Princess cracked and the splinters came out after 6 months. I somehow managed to fix this but with each passing day the inferior plastic parts started chipping and flaking. After two months of use the color started fading and even wiping them with mild soap everyday after use the body had tough stains and discoloration marks. The bowl looks cheap and blemished with carrot and tomato stains.

Just like the Jack Lalanne, the Princess too has a large food chute and the fruits and vegetables can be directly fed into the tube. This saves a lot of time and there is no need to finely chop or grate the fruits. However apple and beet needs to be cut into halves and then introduced. The juice comes out pretty fast and the fresh juice tastes good with all the nutrients intact. What I hate the most about this juicer is that the makers falsely claim in the commercial that it can take the fruits along with the seeds and pits. Contrary to this the instruction manual clearly suggests the users to de-pit and deseed before putting them in the juicer. Is this not plain cheating?
