Smoochy pooches, cuddly kittens and more will gather with their owners for a Valentine's Party for Pets on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 2:00pm at Petco Animal Supplies stores all across the nation.
Valentine's Day just wouldn't be complete without doting on our beloved pets. At the First Annual Valentine's Party for Pets at Petco, you can indulge in a Best Pet Kiss Contest, Valentine's Day cookie decorating or even create you very own paw print Valentine's Day card!
The Valentine's Day theme event was tested in 200 Petco stores across the nation in 2007 and due to its success, the event will now be held in all Petco stores in 2008!
The Valentine's Party for Pets is being sponsored by Science Diet, a premium pet foods company.
Fun with Sweets
All pet owners and pets are invited to decorate Valentine's Day pet safe cookies with Kong paste frosting. The cookies and frosting will be provided by Petco. Just bring your creative side and a pet to taste your tempting sweet Valentine treat!
Smoochy Poochy
Does your pet shower you with kisses? During the Valentine's Party for Pets, participants may choose to compete in the Best Pet Kiss Contest. If you have a smoochy pooch or a kissing kitten, be sure to show off your Valentine's Day affection this February by puckering up for the Best Pet Kiss Contest!
Smile, You're my Valentine!
All Petco stores will be offering Polaroid or instant digital print photographs of your Valentine critter. The photo comes with a Valentine's Day theme paper frame. If you and your pet are feeling camera shy, you may decide to take advantage of the Paw Print Valentine Card station. Petco will supply the ink and cards!
Bows for the Beautiful
All participating Petco stores that offer grooming services will be offering a mini Valentine's Day makeover for your pet. Hair bows and seasonal scented pet body spritz will make your pet even more cute and cuddly and smell great, too!
