Since being established over 20 years ago, Marin has committed to building lightweight, durable, and high quality bikes. Marin donates a portion of every sale of a woman's bike to the fight against breast cancer. One of their newest offerings, the Treviso, is built especially for women. The bike is designed to deliver a comfortable, smooth ride without sacrificing efficiency or quality. The bike weighs approximately 20 pounds and comes with a suggested retail price of $1,180.

The Treviso features a women's fit geometry frame that is constructed of 7005 tripled-butted aluminum. This woman's bike also has carbon seatstays, something other bikes in this price range rarely offer. With the Marin Plush Road saddle, you can rest assured that you'll be comfortable even if you ride a century.

The Treviso woman's bike also features a 10-speed crank complete with Shimano ST-R700 brake/shift levers. The 10 speed levers are designed especially for women's smaller hands. The Treviso comes standard with dual-pivot caliper brakes in the front with dual-pivot brakes in the rear. However, some riders may find that the brakes are tougher to tweak than higher-quality brakes produced by more well-known manufacturers.

If you like to ride over hills, you will appreciate the 12-27 triple gearing offered by the Treviso. On flatter surfaces, this woman's bike offers the ultimate stability. The bike is very capable of holding a straight line even when traveling at higher speeds. You can even ride with no hands and not have to worry about veering off into the curb.

The Treviso is designed with the lightweight Shimano WH-R500 wheelset. The standard tires are the Kenda Koncept Lite 700x23 tires. The wheels and tires combine to offer lower rolling resistance so that the bike feels much lighter so that you can rack up even more miles.
