Paranormal. The first words that come to mind when most people hear this word is ghosts. When in fact the true definition of the word is: impossible to explain scientifically, unable to be explained or understood in terms of scientific knowledge.

More and more lately we are seeing a new trend in reality shows dealing with Paranormal activity. People are speaking out in concern that they may have a ghost residing in their house that is causing utter havoc and having a negative impact on their lives.

I am fascinated by the paranormal, even though it truly scares me. Maybe part of the reason why I am so intrigued by it is because I live in a 107 year old farmhouse and I know there is a huge possibility that ghosts also live with me in my house.

I feel only a small number of people are blessed with the gift to be a clairvoyant or a psychic medium. I laugh when I see so many people who claim to be psychics when you can tell they are truly just fake entertainers. A true psychic will not go out advertising their services, they usually go unknown and do not tell many what they have experienced, or the unique gift that they possess. The psychics who flash their "so called" abilities to the public are typically fake and if you watch they tend to use general across the board information to ewe and awe their guests.

I have also had small coincidences where I have had dreams or thoughts of something strange or terrible happening and then it does happen. This doesn't happen very often, maybe once every few years, and it is easy for me to distinguish between an ordinary common dream and a "vivid" one that is trying to tell me something.

Excellent read. (Dang it. The cat is helping me type again.) I do believe that there are ghosts that walk among us..perhaps from a separate dimension, perhaps just earthbound. When I read writerperson's comment on de'ja vu I recalled an incident that happened a long time ago. I was teaching 1st grade and had a dream about my class but the material I was teaching was way too advanced for them and they were the same children, only older. Four years later I was at the blackboard and it came to me. I had been here before. I had switched teaching to a 5th grade level and the lesson I had dreamed was happening. Some of the same children were in my class as were inthe first grade class.

Julz, I think most people experience some type of paranormal experience in their life, de ja vu is one that is quite common. I really dislike that feeling of knowing a certain place, yet not knowing how I know it...time, event...etc. Just weird. I didn't know until I was older that my mother, as well as myself had dreams before and after my grandfather (her father) passed away. He was in the hospital and I was only 13 and I had no clue he was dying. He had surgery and we all thought he would make it. I had a dream a few nights before he passed, it was strange. Then after he passed I had another dream. My mother had similar dreams, yet neither of us spoke of them. When we finally did, it was amazing to find out how similar they were. Great read!
