If you're an enthusiastic writer with a passion for teaching, you can make money hosting writer's seminars in your local area. There are a variety of people who own computers who would love to have the opportunity to make an extra income writing online. You can help these enthusiastic writers make extra money through your writer's seminars. At these writing seminars, you would teach the basics of writing a good online article and show your attendees how to submit their articles to sites that pay for content such as Associated Content, Constant Content, and Triond, to name a few.

To get started, you need access to a site to hold your writer's seminar. It will be important that your attendees have access to a computer so you can illustrate how to submit articles to the different online sites. You may be able to rent out space at your local library on a day that they're closed such as a Sunday or rent space from a local computer center to hold your first seminar. Once you have your site selected, you can start preparing your seminar materials.

Start preparing materials by creating a notebook of guidelines for writing good online articles. This notebook can be distributed to the participants when they arrive at your writer's seminars. You'll want to include pages listing online sites where graduates of your seminar can submit future articles online for pay. Summaries of other ways to make money writing articles online such as ghostwriting, writing website content, and ebooks should also be covered.

Once you have your materials written, you'll need to establish a price for each participant. Depending on your particular area, prices for a writer's seminar could vary from $50.00 per person up to several hundred. You'll also want to decide on maximum class size, limiting your participants at your writer's seminars to twenty or less to provide individualized attention. Seminar length can vary depending on how much material you plan to cover but count on making it at least a half day in length.
