Interview with William Stape, One of the Most Fascinating Writers on AC

One of the nicest things about Associated Content is the wide variety of interesting writers that submit work to the site. They come from all walks of life. They are mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, career people and those that work from home. They are creative writers, business writers, poets, and storytellers. Most of them are excellent at what they do and all of them have something valuable to say.

Like most of the other writers here at AC, I have my favorites that I simply never miss a chance to read. Many of them teach me something new while others inspire me. Some of them provoke me to reconsider my way of thinking and others present different sides to a story to ensure that I get a thorough knowledge of the subject matter. All of them intrigue me in some way.

One of my very favorite writers at Associated Content is William Stape. Although I'd like to think that I would have eventually found him anyway, the truth is he found me first. I had written an article about the impact of the Star Trek television series on our society. He read it and left me a comment, sharing some of his experience in the Trek world.

I looked up William's work and fell immediately in love with it. I've happily read his articles every week since and wouldn't consider missing a single one of his pieces.

William is highly knowledgeable on all things Star Trek but his expertise doesn't stop there. He knows a great deal about the world of science fiction as well as the entertainment industry in general. His connections have allowed him to do some fascinating interviews with celebrities that many of us would love to meet.

In short, our Mr. Stape is fascinating on many levels and I want to make sure that more people are exposed to his wonderful work. For that reason, I'm delighted to share the following information gleaned from him in an interview for which he consented. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

  • William has written scripts for Star Trek's Next Generation and Deep Space Nine.
  • A lover of all things sci-fi, Stape looks forward to the new Star Trek movie prequel.
  • Stape has written film scripts and started a novel.
