Katrina Victims Sue for More Than $3 Quadrillion
Just how much is a quadrillion? It is 10 to the 15th power or $1,000,000,000,000,000.00. That is a lot of goose eggs, and multiply that by 3 and you have the amount that the victims of Hurricane Katrina are suing the Federal Government for. Actually there is one person who is trying to
United States of America get $3 quadrillion for him or herself. The total amount comes to $3,014,170,389,176,410.
It will be three years on August 29th since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf coast states and yes the victims do have a right to feel frustrated and you can see that in this one claim. Specifically, the claims are against the Army Corps of Engineers who were the ones who designed the levees that failed. The Corps has acknowledged that they did a poor job, which is very troubling indeed, leaving one to wonder how many other projects were poorly designed.
Even though this is probably just a cry for attention, and it worked, by the time all the law suits are settled, it will cost untold millions. Of course if things were done the right way in the first place....
Just what could you buy with $3,000,000,000,000,000? The most expensive car in the world, the Bugatti Veyron at $1,700,000, would barely put a dent in the piggy bank. For another $1,000,000,000 you could buy Upton Court. a sprawling English castle. And when you feel like traveling, the most expensive yacht in the world is the Lady Moura, valued at $100,000,000. And you would not even be breaking the ice. We are not even in the billions yet.
The Corps is receiving more and more claims every single day and they are spending countless hours data basing and who know how many hours of court time this will take. Hours? Let's try years.
