Your bright aspirations have placed you into your own office and your very own home based secretarial business. Here you are in your office, working in comfort. You started your day at 8:30 a.m. typing a 250 page manual for a college professor. When you accepted the assignment, he told you that there was no rush; that he did not need the manual for about three weeks, but it is important to you that you showcase your professionalism to your clients at all times and so in your daily list of things to do, you have already scheduled the manual to be completed within a week's time. Completing the assignment sooner than needed will allow you to accept other assignments and have them completed in a timely fashion as well. More opportunities for even greater success.

The telephone rings. It's Tommy's 3rd grade teacher. You answer, "Hello." "Mrs. Wilson?", says Tommy's teacher. "First, let me inform you, Tommy is alright". You immediately breathe a sigh of "Oh thank you!" The teacher then proceeds to tell you; "Tommy isn't feeling well. I sent him to the nurse and she said he has a slight fever with queasiness in his stomach. I think you should come and pick him up". You tell the teacher you will be there as soon as possible. You stop working and leave home right away to go pick up Tommy from school. An hour has passed; you picked up Tommy, attended to his needs, he is napping and you are typing.
