Once upon a time in a far away Jungle, lived a group of small colorful fairies. The Jungle was filled with huge Green trees. There where bushes with flowers everywhere. With all kinds of different colorful flowers, the Jungle looked like a paradise. In the center of the Jungle there was a small lake with crystal clear water and a waterfall running down a hill on one side. The colorful fairies had their house near the lake on the side opposite to the waterfall.

The fairies used to play by the lake whenever there was Sun shining through the open sky above the lake. On cold cloudy days, they stayed inside the warmth of their house. They where a group of seven fairies and just like the colors in the rainbow, they had their colored wings - Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red. They always went together where ever they had to. They were like one big happy family.

The fairies used to collect their food from the sweet berry bushes and drink the nectar of flowers in the Jungle. They had tiny cone cups made up of Green leaves to collect and carry some with themselves back to their home.

Now the forest was on the edge of a kingdom and in the kingdom, the King had a daughter, a cute little Princess. The Princess though small in age was very brave and caring. She had a small crown of her own and pretty dresses. But she hardly used to wear her crown. It always made her long hair messy to manage. She used to ride her white pony with Golden hair and played in the big garden in front of the castle.

One day while the fairies where playing among themselves, the Green fairy said, "I want to see what is beyond this lake of ours. I want to go far to see what lies in the deep Jungle or even beyond that." The other fairies looked at her in astonishment. The Blue fairy voiced her opinion, "We should not go out of this Jungle or leave this lake. We don't know what kind of trouble we might run into." The other fairies agreed with the Blue fairy. But the Green fairy had made up her mind. She would sneak out of the Jungle when others would be busy, she thought.

Amarpreet . . . I read your fairy story and thought it was very good. You should consider sending it to a literary agent. The story does need some words spelled correctly. Best of Luck! Debby
