A number of events scheduled include the magnificent snow sculpting competition, horse-drawn wagon rides, pony rides, fireworks, an arts and crafts fair, live music, craft activities for children, and food to eat. The foundation of the festival is the snow sculptures. These magnificent sculptures are judged on creativity, technique, and message. The winning team at the Flake Out Festival will advance to the 2009 United States National Competition in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
