Alright; this is my attempt on bringing the buzz back on the once very talked about (alleged) 'in the makes' title, Animal Crossing. This game has by far been one of my favorite titles in a long time. I loved strolling through my town in real time. I loved making my own clothing, writing letters, and inviting other online users to see my town.

Although the game is designed with kids in mind, I at 25 years old, am hopelessly devoted to the game.

When I first got hold of my Nintendo Wii, I figured it would be a mere few months till my all time favorite game made its way to my Wii console. However a year and some months later, the buzz on the title has died down.

Fans saw screen shots of the supposed actual game, only to discover a few weeks later that the screen shots presented to them online were all fakes; nothing more then images created by very creative Animal Crossing fans.

Every now and then we get extremely short news articles on the game, but there is nothing really there left for the imagination to work with. Last I heard the game would be more of a wifi social networking game. I'm imagining it'd be something similar to World Of Warcraft, only with cute fuzzy bunnies and chickens.

That's just my take on it anyway. Sadly the forums on Animal Crossing for Wii has died down somewhat in the past few months, and fans have gotten bored with discussing Animal Crossing Wii, 'possibilities'. I think this may be part of Nintendos marketing. Let the buzz die down, then hype them up with a 4 sentence long 'interview'. Grrrr!

I am totally sick of waiting, I want to hear what is going on with the game, 100%. I'm sick of rumors, and sick of vague lifeless interviews with game developers and Nintendo. If anyone has any sort of scoop feel free to leave a comment. I'd love to hear feedback from fans.

P.S.: BTW, I likewise still own one of those original Nintendo Gameboys, which is now in storage. But it's relevant because the Gameboy carts (as you'll recall) can be played on the Super NES console via that special ADAPTER that (if memory serves) you likewise own. It was/is really cool to be able to see all those original (B&W) Gameboy titels IN COLOR on your TV screen! Some of 'em weren't/aren't half bad! BTW, if I were filthy rich like you, I'd own EVERY home videogaming system and ALL the cats/discs for all of 'me. (Must be nice, Melissa. [Sigh.])

Heh heh. I don't know if you're pulling my leg there.. were you REALLY excited about the "mysterious" Nintendo 2, or were you merely poking fun at my "casual" way of referring to the "Super NES"? ;-) In other words, I was just referring to the SECOND Nintendo (home) videogaming system (after the original NES, which I likewise USED to own, along with the compatible robot and gun). Actually, the Super NES console that I myself now own was/is the "downsized" version that they issued toward the end of that product cycle.

Great! Oh, how this all brings back memories of the eighties (the heyday of my own "home-videogaming mania")! Anyway, "someday" I just might pick up a Wii, after they're no longer so "hot" and their prices have come down. I've always found that consoles and games from "yesteryear" are just about as fun as when they were brand-new! (Though in 2003 I eBay'd MOST of my prior (old) systems, I did hang onto an Atari 2600, a Nintendo II, a Sega Nomad, and a couple of others.) I also used to play lots of games on my PC (in until about 1996). Anyway, hope you're doing well, Melissa. (Looks like you're still raking in the AC cash!)

I wrote an opinion on it, I dunno if it is posted yet or not though.... I'll check... but Endless Ocean sounds sweet, after checking out the screen shots though, Im not so sure. Some screen shots look excellent, and others look grainy and crappy. I think the grainy pics are actual gameplay... the nice pics may be screen shots. I hope the game isnt a disapointmens, but it just might be. :(
