To the Nursing Students

It's not a zoo,
not the 17th century
when it was an entertaining outing.
It's not patients eating paint off the wall,
swinging from the ceiling,
chanting alien languages.

Go ahead, stare and point.

You, young nursing students,
you are more frightening.
We all are mirrors of each other.
