Everyone has continued to question whether or not Roger Clemens is telling the truth about whether or not he indeed used steroids as the Brian McNamee has alleged that he has. When the allegations first came out, Roger Clemens' representatives immediately went on the defensive by releasing a statement from Clemens attorney stating that Clemens adamantly denies these allegations. Clemens then came out with his own videotaped statement on his website that furthered those sentiments, only with the vigor and anger that Clemens has been showing since being accused of having used steroids. Then of course, there was the "60 Minutes" interview which aired on January 6th, 2008, where Mike Wallace asked Clemens several questions (and omitted some in my opinion- at least those aired anyway) on steroids.
However, through it all, Brian McNamee has not shown any sign that he is backing away from his allegations that he injected Clemens with steroids. In the Mitchell Report, McNamee claims that he injected Clemens in the buttocks over a dozen times in three different seasons.
In opposing McNamee's story, Clemens denied having ever allowed McNamee to every stick any kind of a needle in his butt. However, in the interview on "60 Minutes", Clemens admitted to having McNamee inject him with vitamin B-12 and lidocaine. So that's already one slip-up by Roger that suggest that he has told a lie somewhere along the way.
Several noted "lying experts" (I don't really know what else to call them) have claimed that Clemens has been lying all along. They point to inconsistencies in his stories as well as irregularities in his facial expressions that would suggest that he has not been telling the truth.
