Christians Are Satanists Too!

See What Name Calling Causes!

Many Christians label those that are not Christians Satanists. The logic being that if you are not following God and Jesus then you must be following Satan, either through wealth, fame, lust and etc. Although Christians pray for guidance and strength, they must still go through the same
temptations and tribulations as the sinners. Despite calling on a higher power however, most Christians don't realize they fall into the self-determined definition of Satanist.

Christians are people first and foremost, and everyone instinctually wants to live well. So most people wants just a little more money, a better house, a nice car and basically anything that money can buy. Jesus said that it is nearly impossible for a rich man to get into heaven. So being a money focused Christian is, by the above definition, a Satanist. Where does that put those rich clerical elite?

Lust has always been in mankind's heart. It is also a sin. Jesus even said that inappropriate lust in your thoughts is a sin to the spirit of the law. We know that media and society is focused on lust and sex. It is nearly impossible to walk down the street without seeing a sexy lady or man with skimpy clothes on. Despite the Christian teachings, many of those same people are Christians doing their everyday errands. One can only guess at the amount of Christians enjoying what they are seeing, but a look at the amount of affairs happening within Christian marriages should be an indicator.

Fame, vanity and pride- just three of the things that Satan represents, and three things that are rampant in society. Some signs of vanity is the need to wear makeup, expensive jewelry and fine clothes. Believing that you are better than someone else or having an infinite amount of pride in yourself and your successes is not of Christianity- it is the exact opposite. And the public phrase- look what God helped me to do- does not change the fact that you attributed the success in your heart to your hard work.

God sent His Son to pay that price for anyone willing to accept His free gift. God shows far more sympathy than most give Him credit for. Many don't understand what the big deal is about sin. But we don't see it from God's perspective. On what grounds can you stand before a perfect God and justify your sins (rebellions) against Him? It may seem to be harsh (and therefore unsympathetic)for Him to be so unyeilding to even the smallest of sins, but we don't have the perspective of the Creator of the universe. Whether our sins are a "big deal" or not isn't really for us to decide.

Jeff- Couldn't it be argued that humans are only closer to Satan because he mislead us and started us down the pathway of sin? And the fact is Satan is not sympathetic to humans at all. He hates us more than we can know. Simply because he seems to want us to have more "fun" than God wants us to or he may put on the guise of being more "understanding" about the sins humans commit, doesn't mean he's sympathetic. Napoleon once said, and I paraphrase, that you never interrupt your enemy when they're making a mistake. I also think it necessary to state that God should in no way be closer to human. Humans are awful. Even the greatest of humans screws up. To have a more human God would be an invitation to chaos. God is perfect and He cannot simply wink at sin. He has a 100% pure, unaltering sense of justice. Sin is rebellion against Him and His kingdom and not one iota of it can be excused with the wave of a hand. A price has to be paid for sin and that price is death. Go

While there certainly are Christian and nonChristians that have egregious behavior, the expectation is that Christians are to be held to a higher standard. Christians, if they truly are, are acutely aware of their SIN nature for it they could be good enough to warrant salvation, there would be no REASON for Jesus to have died on a cross and be risen. Galatian 2:21. The writer is right, there are some hateful and misguided Christians. There are also people who would hang the entire Christian population for the behavior of some. Jesus, the person for whom we take the name "Christ"ian was a JEW and His promise to Abraham was that He would bless those who bless the Jews and to curse those who curse the Jews goes for Christians as well. (Genesis 12:3). Christians who miss the mark on that point certainly have a lot of growing to do. Forgiveness, however, is supposed to be our practice, and sadly that does not occur all the time. We are not all perfect, just forgiven. (John 3:16-18, John

Interesting point-I would also add a sidenote-I think that the whole idea of Satan is wrong. If you look at it objectively, Satan is much more closer to human (and sypathetic to humanity) than God.
