Strong in My Soul

I'm most controlled, steady
too well pieced together to be broken down
unsure like a fish out of water, but I'm sure I can't be drowned

Heartbroken but I possess all of the pieces
I am my excuses as well as my reasons

On one leg, I could still stand strong
Not a different breed, I'm unique, I belong

To be at the bottom of steep steps, looking up, feeling daunted
what shoes to wear would be the only concern as I step up to my calling

In fear, it's hard catch my breath, but I keep going
the evils pull and tug at my soul but I just keep growing
I toke and pull my brain cells away but I'm still knowing
I feel like I'm forever
