A weak showing in Tuesday's New Hampshire Primary couldn't stop Ron Paul from continuing his quest for the Presidency, but hate-filled words attributed to him might knock the "Internet's Favorite Candidate" out of the running for the Republican nomination. On Tuesday, January 8, the New Republic posted excerpts from a series of newsletters called the "Ron Paul Political Report." Typewritten and rather sloppy, the newsletters contain what is best described as hate-filled rants.

The Ron Paul Newsletters: "A Special Issue on Racial Terrorism" (June 15, 1992)

Following the explosive Los Angeles riots in 1992, the "Ron Paul Political Report" carried the headline "A Special Issue on Racial Terrorism." The report analyzes the riots, which happened after several Los Angeles Police Officers were acquitted of mistreating Rodney King during his arrest. Addressing the issue of the rioters acting out on their frustrations, the report says that "they [the rioters] were looking for an excuse to kill, burn and loot."

The Ron Paul Newsletters: Attack on Dr. Martin Luther King

In December 1990, in reference to the United States honoring Dr. Martin Luther King every year, the "Ron Paul Political Report" says that Dr. King plagiarized his "PhD dissertations, his academic articles, his speeches and his sermons" and goes on to call him a "world class adulterer" and a seducer of boys and girls. Other editions of the newsletter continue the attack on the late Dr. King.

The Ron Paul Newsletters: Attack on Gays

After "60 Minutes" commentator Andy Rooney made some on-air comments against "homosexual unions", the March 15, 1990 "Ron Paul Political Report" says that "CBS forced him [Rooney] into an apologetic interview with The Advocate, a homosexual magazine filled with classified ads for perverted prostitutes."

Ron Paul Newsletters: Did He Actually Write Them?

On Thursday's edition of CNN's "Situation Room," Republican hopeful Ron Paul said that he didn't write any of the offensive articles and had "no idea" who did. On the subject of racism, Paul said "Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Gandhi, they're the heroes [of my life]."

The evidence is clear that Paul did not write the article on MLK; because (1) the article opposes making Martin Luther King Day a public holiday and (2) Ron Paul voted in favor of making Martin Luther King Day a national holiday. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/71/

The Author of Ron Paul Newsletters Disclosed: Lew Rockwell: Cowardly Animal and Bigot There is no one who has done more damage to the Ron Paul campaign than Rockwell. It's almost too late for apologies and repentance. If social ostracism is the only remedy, he should be banished. http://www.nolanchart.com/article1117.html

Hm, do we want someone who puts his name to things he doesn't believe in/doesn't necessarily write? "Oh, I didn't mean to sign that bill giving American jobs to immigrants and mandating capital punishment for Jews who don't give 10% of their income to the state government, someone else used my pen for it."

Sorry---definitely not end of story. Paul has denied writing them, but he has not revealed who did. Ron Paul needs to "man up" and admit he was asleep at the switch when these hated-filled reports were published.

These article were not written by Ron Paul! End of story! Just some more slander from those who fear Ron Paul.

Isn't it sad how angry people get when Ron Paul's bubble of perfection is popped? Man it's impossible to have a rational discussion with these people.

Steve, thanks for the support on my Ron Paul Newsletter article. Apparently this has a lot of people REALLY upset. The silly thing is, it's just news. I'm not passing any judgement, just stating the facts. Nice article, in fact, lots of your articles are awesome...I'd like my pageview count to read like yours.

I think Mr. Bryan was totally justified in writing this article. Many of us moderates are wondering, just who is this crackpot, Ron Paul, and why is such a small percentage of voters working so hard to defend him? We've all heard the whisperings about Paul and racism, so if Paul isn't going to come clean, someone else will. I saw Paul at the Republican debate last night. It's so easy to critisize every government policy when you advocate doing NOTHING.

Organization Name: DYNCORP Address: 303 E. 17th Ave SUITE 640 (Server: www.associatedcontent.com IP Address: 216.241.164.182) Is this the same corporation that McKinney accused of human trafficking ? It would explain a lot!

I read all the articles and either I am a racist or just completely missed the point. James Kirchick's commentaries do not accurately fit the newsletters and only seems to try to set the reader up as to how they should feel when they read them. The articles have no fingerprints on them and for the most part they seem like pretty accurate statements. This wouldn't be allowed in a court of law but it is allowed by editors and journalists with no moral compass. Why is this dribble being regurgitated? "his name is on all the newsletters and unless he can show that he had no involvement in their publication, he needs to take responsibility for their content." Welcome to Amerika, where you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent. The very fact that this article makes this demand of Paul shows that James Kirchick's article fails to prove anything other than mud still flies!

what was the purpose of this website to publish 3 almost identical smear articles at the same exact time. its a disgrace to be so blunt about your hate for Dr. Paul

Just in: Apparently alleged racism is worse than mass murder and everything else in the entire world. And moving along, adults occasionally tend to pay attention to important news, thus far not found on AC.
