James Gandolfini and Other Celebrities Get Engaged Over the Holidays

James Gandolfini, who starred as Tony Soprano of the television drama "The Sopranos", is engaged to former model and long time girlfriend, Deborah Lin. As reported by the E! Online website, the couple got engaged during the holidays.

It is not known when the date for James' second trip down the aisle will be. The award winning actor divorced from his first wife, Marcy, in 2002.

News of Gandolfinis engagement first broke at PerezHilton.com, where a source had revealed that James proposed while the couple was in the Bahamas on holiday.

Also proposing over the holidays was actor Eric Winter, who is best known for his role as Rex Brady on the daytime soap opera, "Days of Our Lives". Accepting his proposal is actress Roselyn Sanchez, who has a recurring role on "Without a Trace". The Star Online also reports that the couple have been dating for two years and the proposal occurred while they were on holiday in Vieques, a resort island near Puerto Rico.

Eric and Roselyn have yet to set a date for their upcoming nuptials either. This will also be Eric's second marriage. He was married to actress Allison Ford from 2001 until 2005.

Other holiday celebrity engagements include the engagement of Guy Sebastian, the first Australian Idol winner to his girlfriend of more than eight years, Jules Egan. Westlife's Kian Egan and actress Jodi Albert announced their engagement right after Christmas. "Survivor: Pearl Islands" contestant Jon Dalton proposed to "America's Next Top Model" contestant, Michelle Deighton. Choosing to go the more public route, he proposed at a New Years Eve party.

Also recently engaged is Tori Spelling. Not the first marriage for Tori either. In fact, she has only been separated from her first husband for a couple of months. The daughter of television producer Aaron Spelling is betrothed to actor Dean McDermott, who recently filed for a divorce from his wife of ten years, Mary Jo Eustace. TMZ also reports that they have been dating for several months, and that Dean chose a cooler locale to propose, Toronto.
