NFL Playoff Running Back Rankings
The NFL Playoffs begin Saturday and here are my rankings of the Top 9 Running Backs in the NFL Playoffs. These running backs should help lead their teams to victory in the NFL Playoffs.
1 - LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers - LaDainian Tomlinson led all rushers this year with 1474 yards and 15 touchdowns according to NFL statistics reported on Yahoo Sports. He was second to only
Adrian Peterson with 92.1 yards per game. LaDainian Tomlinson was also very sure handed and recorded zero fumbles during the regular season. He is expected to help lead San Diego to victory in the NFL Playoffs and ultimately on to the Super Bowl. Of course, his rushing efforts will be needed in the NFL Playoffs to help San Diego defeat the Indianapolis Colts, the reigning Super Bowl champs. Tomlinson's talents make him my Number 1 pick in the NFL Playoff Running Back Rankings.
2 - Joseph Addai, Indianapolis Colts - Joseph Addai is my Number 2 pick of NFL Playoff Running Backs garnering 1072 yards, 12 touchdowns, zero fumbles, 4.1 yards per carry and 71.5 yards per game. Addai was a big factor in the Colts' offensive success this season and Addai's running skills will be contrasted against LaDainian Tomlinson's in the NFL Playoff game between the Colts and the Chargers.
3 - Fred Taylor, Jacksonville Jaguars -Fred Taylor didn't get a lot of the limelight given to other marquee players during the regular season due to Jacksonville's smaller television market. However, that didn't prevent Taylor from amassing 1202 yards, 5 touchdowns with an average of 5.4 yards per carry and 80.1 yards per game. Fred Taylor, my Number 3 pick for the NFL Playoff Running Back Rankings will have to guide the Jacksonville Jaguars through a formidable England Patriots">New England Patriots defense in the first round of the NFL Playoffs.
