Corri Fetman, Playboy's "Lawyer of Love," Puts Up Racy Billboard

"Life's too short. Get a divorce," suggests the sexy billboard posted in one of Chicago's busiest sections of town, the Rush Street district. The provocative piece of advertising is the brainchild of Chicago divorce lawyer, Corri Fetman. Fetman, who right or wrong seems to like to tell it like it is, or at least how she thinks it is, says that the new ad has kept the phone ringing off the hook, though not always for the better. It seems that when it comes to this billboard, there are few lukewarm opinions, people either hate it or love it. Though the word on the street is that the ad's slogan has received far greater complaints than the pictures themselves.

Those who hate the ad, include area lawyers who feel that Fetman is attracting negative attention for a profession that doesn't seem to need any help attracting a negative response. Some critics have gone as far as to call the ad "sleazy." Others feel that the ad feeds on the vulnerable feelings of those contemplating a divorce. There are also those who view the billboard as promoting sex as a sport and trivializing the sanctity of marriage. While some groups who are advocates of family values believe that the ad is nothing less than a clever lie, one which neglects to give voice to the thousands of children whose lives are being torn apart through divorce.

For now, the city of Chicago has decided that the much talked about billboard needs to come down, though not for the reasons you might expect. According to Chicago city officials, the board was erected without the proper permits being secured, a no-no that did not escape the watchful eyes of city officials. Yet despite the temporary set back, an unrepentant Fetman plans on using more racy pictures in similar ads. One of her next billboard, may feature a woman in a dominatrix outfit, with the caption "Take Control. Get A Divorce."
