My best friend and I are a one of a kind. She and I could laugh, talk, cry, whine, party, whatever all night long and the funny part is it only has to be her and I and that is all we need. When we first met you could tell it would be a long lasting relationship. She made sure I was always laughing by the jokes she tells, or the cards she buys, or making fun of someone to get our kicks. We could laugh about almost anything or nothing at all. The strange thing was I could never figure out why nobody else got it. Why didn't they see what I seen in her, and why didn't they get what I got from her.

She and I could stand in a supermarket or a Hallmark store and pick any card in the store and relate to it somehow. We would find the humor in it and or the meaning to it that would relate to one another, or for someone else. The strange thing is we never have been shopping together for cards, but even when we are separate, we still are so together. We just get each other. That is why i said we could , but we never have. We just knew what the other needed from each other. She knew when I wasn't well what kind of card to send, or if I was stressed she knew what card would bring me right out of it, if it were my birthday, she knew how to make another year older a pleasant one.

We use to call each other Lucy & Ethel. We could relate to them so much. We were inseparable but yet we were not together as much as some might think. That is the ironic part of it all, when we were is was all about us. I was more Lucy I was thinner, she was chunkier, my husband was more into pleasing me and babying me, her husband was more the type to pick on her or at her, we had to talk about everything when we did talk. I am more forward and she was more the passive type. Whenever I set out to do something, she was by my side. Even if she knew it would cause problems with her marriage, she was all about being there for me.

What makes a best friend and how to keep a friend are a lot of hard work and understanding. Have fun always, and be real with one another.

Thanks Molly. We are still very good friends, I do miss her because we don't get to see her as much as the old days, but as long as I know she is there, I'm good. Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed.

I'm glad you directed me to this article! Very touching. I got a little worried when you said things soured, but I'm glad they came back around. I have a friend like that too...always there for me. I treasure her. Great job!
