Whether we like it or not Valentines Day is just around the corner. Some men are already trying to plan that perfect gift for the one they love. Others do not even realize that Valentines Day is merely a month away. There are many ways to show someone how special they are on Valentines Day. Although the most coming gifts are roses, a box of chocolates, and cards professing your never ending love, does not have to be the normal gift. Think about the things that the love of your life really would like or need. Has there been something she really wants do but will not plan herself. Here are a few ideas that go beyond over priced roses and cards.

If you both have full schedules most of the time, try to find something that is relaxing and rejuvenating for the both of you. A trip to the fabulous new day spa down the street would be the perfect way to spend Valentines Day together. A full body massage, a mud wrap, and a soak in an herbal bath can cleanse you body and you soul.

Plan a day of rest and relaxation at home for her. Start with breakfast in bed. Rent her favorite movies then sit there and watch them with her. One day of watching chick flicks will not hurt you. Make her, her favorite dinner or order in if you are not handy in the kitchen. No need to ruin the big day with unnecessary house guests from the fire department.

Create a picnic by the fireplace. Include bite size finger foods and fruits dipped in chocolate. A nice bottle of wine or champagne, soft music in the background and candlelight will impress any woman.

Take her to a play or Opera that she wants to see. You know the kind that you would normally bow out and let her go with her girlfriends. By spending time with her doing the things, she likes to do shows her that you really care about the things she likes. Moreover, someday she may reciprocate by going to a game with you.
