Lip gloss is one of those great make up products that never seems to go out for style. Best for all there always seems to be some kind of new lip gloss product on the market. Products like Neutrogena Lip Gloss Moisture Shine and Revlon SkinLights Glosslights for Lips Translucent Gloss are the modern day evolution of an early 1900s invention in Hollywood. Lip gloss was invented by Max Factor and first showed up in 1928 on film to make the actors and actresses lips shiny for the camera and the rest of the American female population soon was hooked. Today you can find lip gloss in any color, with glitters, clear, in tubes with wand applicators, in the original small round metal case, and even in the more modern look squeeze tube with the rounded applicator built on. There is no end to the supply of lip gloss out there and I have tried innumerable quantities of this affordable beauty aid. My obsession with lip gloss began by the time I was 6 years old and has never waned. So, comparing Neutrogena Lip Gloss Moisture Shine Versus Revlon SkinLights Glosslights for Lips Translucent Gloss seems almost second nature!

Sticky Versus Non Sticky

Ok, personally I tend to favor the non sticky variety of shiny lip gloss. I just do not like that oh so gooey feeling of you lips sticking together. Also, I have long hair and it is pretty gross feeling to have my hair blow in the wind and then parts of it stick to my lips. Revlon SkinLights Glosslights for Lips Translucent Gloss is hands down the winner in the battle of which lips gloss is less sticky. Oh, by the way I bought it in Amethyst. This lip gloss is upper shiny and is not too sticky at all. Neutrogena Lip Gloss Moisture Shine, which I bought in Dizzy, is more sticky, but not completely unbearable. Maybe one or two stray hairs can stick to it. I have found though that if you apply the Neutrogena Lip Gloss Moisture Shine sparingly or over lip stick it is not sticky at all.

Takeaways
  • Revlon SkinLights Glosslights for Lips Translucent Gloss is less sticky.
  • If you apply the Neutrogena Lip Gloss Moisture Shine sparingly or over lip stick it is not sticky.
  • The Revlon SkinLights Glosslights for Lips Translucent Gloss has some sparkling shimmer in it.
