listening to the folk station
love to hear what they're saying
sounds the song, song they're playing

talking 'bout life
and all the offers
talking 'bout love
death and all the reasons
poetry in motion
what's the commotion?

on the wall, under the bridge
inside the walls, under the fridge

guitars strumming into the night
maybe a sitar or a harmonica
wailing from a distance

no reasons given
just an expression of the common man or woman
reaching out, touching the soul

Bob and Eric
Sheila and Joan
singing and playing their hearts out
expressing their faith with sounds eternal

through the afternoon and into the night
the sun also rises.

I hear ya James, although I was but a little child in that era...I miss the singer-songwriter heroes of the 1960s-1970s. Great job.
