I get emails every day asking how I built a successful and growing income online. There are many key factors that come into play when earning an income online. Today I'd like to focus on two of them. Two factors that contribute to successfully building an income online are Consistency and Commitment.

Let's start with the aspect of commitment. As with anything you want to be successful at in life, commitment is very important. Whether it's your career, a work out regimen, diet, sports, etc. commitment to you goals and activities is crucial.

When it comes to commitment in online earning, you must commit to whatever program(s) you join and are working to earn an income with. There are many different legitimate ways to earn an income online, once you have selected what best fits your interest you must commit to it. I recommend a time frame commitment of no less than 90 days, for whatever it is you are working on. You must realize that you cannot and will not get rich overnight. Building a successful online income takes time and perseverance just like anything else of value.

The #1 reason that I have found that people fail to successfully earn an income online is because of a lack of commitment. There are many reasons why people may not commit, but I think one of the biggest reasons is because of distractions. Distractions in the sense that there are 100s if not more new programs popping up every single day.

Think about this, we know there are many new sites and there are all kinds of scams out there. Beyond that, we also know that most businesses (online or offline) fail/close in their first year of business. Knowing this, once we find something that we have interest in and do the research to know that they pay, we should then commit ourselves to that program. Again, my suggested time frame is 90 days of commitment. During a 90 day period, you should be able to ramp up what you need to ramp up for your marketing (again success doesn't happen overnight). And you should be able to build some sort of an income from your 90 day efforts. At that point you can reevaluate whether the program is worth the amount of time vs the amount you earn.
