Around 2:30 A.M., Saturday, January 12th, Barrack Obama was on his way back to his home town of Chicago after campaigning in Nevada for the January 19th Nevada caucus, when his chartered jet clipped a wing of another plane. Obama was landing at Midway Airport in Chicago, when the incident happened. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Obama didn't even realize what happened nor did anyone else on the plane.

According to Ben LaBolt, Obama's campaign spokesman, no one actually felt it either. There were 12 people on board including the crew.
The plane's left wing clipped the right wing of a Cessna 208. No one on board of the Cessna was hurt.

City Aviation Department spokesman Gregg Cunningham, said both planes were not allowed to move from the spot till 9:15AM.
The investigation of the incident would be conducted. It could take a few weeks to several months for the investigation to be completed.
Obama heads back today for Nevada.

We had a teacher back in elementary school that kept repeating: Accidents don't happen they are caused. Took me many years of therapy~just kidding~to realize that sometimes accidents, do just happen. We have so many of these type mishaps at LAX it is scary. I always felt safer flying than on a freeway, parkway or highway. Today it seems there is too much human error~planes should never be clipping other one's on take off and landing. Glad no one was hurt. The concern that the Klan or some crazed person will kill him or harm the Mrs. and daughter is never far from my mind. Nor people like Gandhi, JFK, MLK, Bobby Kennedy and yes, even Malcolm X. Do hope the meaning of his name keeps him safe from harm.

I'm glad no one on either plane was hurt. That could have been a bad accident had the planes were closer in proximity.
