Cons
You can't preview the design with the program. If you want to see it, you have to use your default Internet Browser to preview it before putting it live online. While it is not a big deal, it can be for those who would like to view their progress right away. That's about one of the only minor issues that I've noticed with it and other than that, there's really nothing wrong with it.
Pros
One thing that I think is a major plus is that the end tag is created automatically. The program knows the HTML tags like the back of its hand. For example, the
tag will also have the so that you don't have to put that in yourself. Simplicity is the way to go with this system. The documents can validate but will tell if there are any errors whatsoever with it.
How to Use It
Besides opening it, you are then given a blank screen and just type away. In this, you must use HTML code if you are to use it for a web page written in that language. It is recommended that you have a good knowledge of basic HTML before attempting to use this and be confused. It can also be used to write pages in XML, an advanced language mainly data driven and can be written in the English Language. If you wish to make the document XHTML, go to Tags, then Declarations then choose which XHTML style you want to use. The difference between HTML and XHTML is very small but here it is, the
tag has to have an end like this
, the same goes for the tag. Once you see that it is basically the same at this point in time, though that could change in the future if XHTML goes to 2.0 soon.
