When Sword Searcher opens, you will see the King James Bible on the left and then on the right you will see two panels. In these panels are your commentaries, devotionals, dictionary, and harmonies and chronologies. At the top of your window you will notice different buttons. I will walk you through getting started with your Sword Searcher program.
First, we will start out with the Bookmarks. You can bookmark any verse. Go to the Book, Chapter, and verse that you want to bookmark. Scroll the verse so that it is at the top of the window. For example, if you want to bookmark John 3:16. Go to the book of John, then to the third chapter. Scroll verse 16 to the top of the window so that this is the first verse that you see. Then go to the top of your window and click Bookmarks > Set Bookmark 1. When the box opens, tick the field next to the verse and click OK. To go to that verse later, go to your Bookmarks and click Bookmarks and click the bookmark in the drop down window.
Next, I will show you how to use the Devotional Tab. The devotional tab is located at the top of the window. This is where you will find your Daily Devotionals. These are chosen verses for each day of the year. Go to the top of the window and click Devotionals. Then you will see This Mornings and This Evenings. Select the one that you want. You can also open the calendar and click a date to see another devotional. Click the Select Date link in the Devotional menu. Also in this menu is a link called Proverbs. Clicking this link will take you to a particular Proverb.
