As a conservative, I thought I would be bored or miffed watching Hillary Clinton on Tim Russert's Meet the Press. But no, I was captivated for the entire hour.

Tim Russert was obvious in his quest to rattle and rile Hillary Clinton on Meet the Press Sunday. Russert treated her worse than some of the Republican candidates I've seen him interview.

Why? It's only my opinion, but it appears that Hillary Clinton is not Tim Russert's pick for president. The solemn faced, often stern Russert seemed bent on an "I gotcha" moment. In my opinion, Hillary Clinton disappointed him.

Russert started out by intimating that the Clintons were injecting race and gender into the campaign. Hillary responded that they were doing neither, but wanted the facts about both candidates front and center.

The rankle over Martin Luther King and who best can lead the black community seems to have been blown up beyond reasonable thinking.

Hillary reminded Tim that for years she has worked for civil rights, human rights and women's rights. While giving Obama credit for a great speech, she wanted to know facts about exactly what he has done.

Hillary said Obama has voted 130 times "present". When hearing this, a person wonders if that was because he didn't want any nay or aye vote tripping him up on the way to the White House. In turn, Obama has used Hillary's votes on the war against her on the campaign trail.

Tim Russert continued to grill Hillary on the workhorse/show horse comments. Hillary says results are important and she has shown herself to be a workhorse at getting things done.

Russert continued to try and grill Hillary on everything from Bill Clinton's tryst while in office to playing the gender card in the debates. He of course took her back years on votes she cast on the war.

Russert was stern, almost gruff at times. But Hillary stayed the course, kept her cool and showed democrats why she is the best candidate to be president.

Russert?... I call him Mr. Chipmunk.... He's definitely in the tank for Obama or any other drama coming down the pike. I liked your approach to writing. I was never a big Hillary supporter but I began to respect her also, mainly as the result of bashing. Check out my story if you get a minute: Can MSNBC's Keith Olbermann & Chris Matthews Spell "Misogyny"?
