Axius Auto Expressions Seat Cushion: Review

Winter in Alaska has it's cold temperatures, and when the mercury dropped to -13, I decided it was time to find a seat cushion for my car. The interior of my Buick Regal is a nice, plush leather, but when it freezes the seat gets very hard and cold. The interior of our
Honda Civic is cloth, and although this seat also gets hard, it remains warmer in the cold weather. Unfortunately, the Buick's leather seats are not heated like our Maxima's were.

So off to the store I went to find some sheepskin covers to keep my fanny warmer. Can you believe it, I couldn't find sheepskin seat covers anywhere. All I could find were those thin, stretchy cloth seat covers, which wouldn't do much in the way of providing protection and warmth from the cold leather. I decided to purchase a seat cushion, made by Axius Auto Expressions (who makes several different styles), ours being Ergo.

Description

The seat cushion and back are made of a thick polyurethane foam, with a faux suede like cover. It is very soft and plush, and quite comfortable. It's a generously sized seat cushion, covering the entire seat, and coming up to the headrest on the seat back. The cushion is about 1 1/2" thick.

Ours consists of two colors, the center of the seat and back cushion are dark gray, and the surrounding color is black.

It's simple and quick to install on any bucket seats. There is an elastic strap at the top of the cushion, which you pull over the top of the seat. There are two hooks where the top and bottom portions of the cushion fold in half, and you thread them through the crack at the base of the seat, and fasten under the seat with the hooks from the front of the cushion.
