CF&F Improvement Plan
Embed:
During the setting objectives step, the team should determine the desired outcome from the meetings, for CF&F this could mean improving management communication. In addition to improving management communication CF&F could also determine the desired result for training practices. Collecting data is the next step in which the management utilizes the information from the analysis to identify specific topics from the meeting. After the data is collected management will plan the meeting where a restatement of objectives will be communicated. This step verifies that everyone is on the same page with their expectations of what the problems are and how the team will control the change. Next we will actually conduct the meeting in which the data that was previously collected will be discussed. With such a planned approach to team development there should be minimal interruptions such as "well I didn't know about that." or "how does that work?"
During the last step management will determine the outcome of the team development meetings. This step is important in determining whether the team development meetings were successful in that they alienated and solved problems or if they were unsuccessful where as the team couldn't function correctly.
Role Analysis Techniques:
One way of implementing team intervention is by using role analysis techniques (RAT). The role analysis defines each team member's role regardless of their personal feelings. Lower management seems to have forgotten what their responsibilities are since the hourly employees are making the decisions for production. This role analysis will define each department's responsibilities. In addition to defining the responsibilities of each department the expectations for each member will also be clearly stated. The steps of role analysis technique are as follows: role analysis, the role incumbent's expectations of others, role expectations by others, role profile, repeat process, and review.
