First Hand Experience Lends Credence to Recent UFO Sighting in Texas

After hearing about the UFO sighting in Texas recently, it got me thinking about a very unique experience I had with a UFO when I was eleven years old. This UFO experience was not only witnessed by me, but at least thirty other people in my city, and was never explained by government or city officials. It was all over the local newspapers, and yet, it faded away over the years into the UFO unexplained. This is a first hand account of my UFO experience.

It was a warm summer evening, not long before dark when my Mother and I pulled up into my Father's parking lot at his job with a local trucking company. The sky was clear and starry, and the sun was just about set over the horizon. As we pulled into the parking lot, at least ten other cars had pulled into the parking lot to pick up their husbands from work as well. As was often the case, we all got out of the car to talk and catch up on the days events. On this night, however, all of the people had climbed from their cars and were looking up in the sky and pointing.

Climbing out of the car, my eyes instinctively followed the pointing fingers up into the sky and what I saw scared me half to death. Hanging about a mile up in the sky and hovering was a large light, perfectly circular, and not moving an inch. At this point at least seven adults and four children were gathered and staring at the strange light. It was simply sitting there glowing like a giant extra moon in the sky. Only this light was much lower, and being so low in the sky it appeared to be huge. A couple of the people that had gathered climbed back into their car in fear. Most of us sat there and stared for about twenty minutes discussing the fact that this could only be a UFO or government experiment.

As time went by, and more cars joined us in the parking lot, the crowd grew to around twenty adults and several kids, all staring up at this UFO and all confused and a bit scared. I remember thinking to myself that the aliens were coming and sure to kill us all. To an eleven-year old boy, this was exciting and scary all at the same time. I was scared but still a bit skeptical that this UFO was somehow explainable. Then something happened that changed that thought.
