There is another weight loss supplement to consider. A Natural Weight Loss Supplement Garcina cambogia is being talked about a lot in the western world as being an effective weight loss supplement. Not all studies agree how effective this supplement is as some studies are less conclusive.

The supplement is is derived from a small tropical fruit grown in Africa and India. It belongs to the citrus family like oranges and grapefruit. This not the old grapfruit diet. Being too sour to eat, the rind of the fruit is used in Indian cooking as a spice. If you look for this supplement, it could be listed by it's chemical name of hydroxycitric acid or simply HCA.

Hydroxycitric acid is not an appetite suppressant or is it a stimulant such as coffee. Stimulants and suppressants tend to affect the brain which can lead to unwanted side effects which could include uncontrolled eating (bing eating) when discontinued.

HCA seems to work best taken with chromium. Chromium is often used to help control blood sugar. As we get older, our bodies seem to have less chromium available. A deficiency in chromium is also linked to weight gain Even though chromium is a mineral essential for good health, high dosages or incorrect formulation can cause serious side effects. Please consult your doctor before taking chromium. This is especially important if your have diabetes already.

It is always best to become knowledgeable about any supplement you are considering taking. If you are breast feed or pregnant, consult a doctor fists. Another caution is to consult a health care professional before giving it to children. There is some evidence that citrus food should be avoided if you have arthritis or suffer from migraine headaches.

With Garcina cambogia, there are really no forbidden foods. With any diet, it is good practice to substitute fruit for a sugar snack. Also consider a wide variety of foods with smaller portions
