A stroke is a brain attack with similar symptoms and causes that lead to a heart attack. It occurs when small blood vessels in the brain burst. It is definitely deadly and once the first stroke happens, the chance of having another greatly increases. However, there are people who have recovered successfully from a stroke. Those that survive a stroke often suffer from debilitating consequences and symptoms including paralysis, speech impediments, and reduced mental capabilities. Alternative doctors suggest there are a number of nutrients and natural remedies that can help one recover from a stroke and prevent another stroke.

Bromelain is a digestive enzyme that is not only good for your digestive system but for breaking up blood clots in your body. Take 1,500 mgs of bromelain three times a day for a total of 4,500 mgs between meals. You should start taking this natural remedy no sooner than one day after you had a stroke. Make sure you consult with your physician when taking bromelain and don’t take it sooner than one day after you have had a stroke. You can take this natural remedy long after you have recovered but consult with your doctor on the dosage after you have recovered from the stroke.

Another natural remedy to help recover from a stroke is to take 100 mgs three times a day of phosphatidylserine for at least a year after a stroke. This natural remedy works as a brain cell stimulator stimulating and protecting brain cells. The nutrient, DMAE, helps to strengthen the function and chemistry of the brain. Follow the dosage on the label but you can take this natural remedy for an extended period. To energize your brain naturally, take 500 mg of acetyl-carnitine three times a day for at least a year after the stroke.

Takeaways
  • Always consult with your doctor before taking supplements after a stroke
