Meeting Mike offy was something i knew had to happen since the first conversation between us. The numerous likes we had in common, the similar views on 'the world we live in and life in general', and the general clickage between long time friends that had just finally met.

after nightly IM's that turned into IM's plus phone calls, we recognized this 'thing' that seemed to be happening. but we just were so excited about this really awesome friendship that was happening. we spoke every day, it seemed, and we found out some very serendipitious moments, where we had been in the same place at the same time but never ran into each other.

Finally, i decided one night that i was going to come visit Boston for the weekend, because we had discussed how much fun we'd have. I got a bus ticket and a hotel room, and the plan was set for me to arrive on Friday the 12th.

That week had brought some hard news for both of us, however in both cases, things have seemed to work out in some way for the better. In any case, we were both very ready for a weekend of FUN!

Little did we know how much fun.

I got off the bus. I didn't see him but i called Meri on the cell and BS'ed with her a little bit. I see someone who resembles Mike coming my way, and it IS him. He smiles and i smile back. I tell Meri buhbye, throw my phone in my pocket and then there was a hug that just felt so good. the best hug i have ever received at this point in my life. as we hug, i ask him what he had eaten, cause i smell yummy food smell. we walk to the T train and go out to my hotel. All this time, the conversation is perfectly flowing. No uncomfortable silences. No breaks. Just talking about everything and nothing. Just like Online. but this is different. This is Real Life and this is great.

'everytime you smile it takes me quite a while to recover'
