Pay Per Call is the hottest new advertising tool on the Internet, for small to medium size businesses. Interesting enough, it is just beginning to be discovered in the marketing community. Pay Per Call, is  not a 900 number service.

So what is Pay Per Call? Think of this as the answer to adwords. Everyone now knows what adwords are and the problems that marketers have experienced with this form of advertising. There has been much fraud with the pay per click advertising. One of the greatest problems comes when competitors continually click on ads to run out the budget of fellow marketers. Then there is a problem with not so honest webmasters placing the adsense codes on their sites, and clicking on their own ads, or getting others to click just so they can receive their share of the profit. Lastly, curiosity seekers tend to click on google ads to try to locate information, but are not serious buyers. This becomes very expensive and not very cost effective for the marketer.

Pay Per Call is an answer to these challenges. With a Pay Per Call account a merchant can have exposure to online advertising without having the presents of a website. This is a great way for small to medium size businesses to have an exposure on the Internet that they have never had before. There are several sites online that offer Pay Per Call advertising. 

The largest and first  Pay Per Call to be in the business is Ingeno. They have partnered with AOL, Findwhat, Excite,Search.com, met- crawler, and yellow pages. During search results, Pay Per Call advertising appears at the top of the list. You will notice listings with a phone icon beside them. When the icon is clicked on, an ad appears with a phone number to call and talk directly with the merchant. This is a Great way to make contact with serious customers. Customers won’t make a call unless they are serious about your information, or products.
