I know, the month of January 2008 is just about half over, but after a couple of months of computer problems, heath problems and just a general malaise, it's not to late for The Razor's Cuts: The Biggest Losers of 2007. Here goes:

10. Ann Coulter, "conservative" commentator, columnist and general gadfly in the ointment of American society. The reason Ms. Coulter is only #10 is that ever since the John Edwards flap last year, even real conservatives seem to have had their fill of her antics. In the ensuing year since Coulter's use of the "F" word of the new millenium in discussing Edwards, or not discussing Edwards according to Coulter, she has become increasingly irrelevant in the world of politics. And not a moment too soon.

9. Don Imus. Like a bad penny, Imus keeps coming back as he recently did on a new network. Yawn. Even though the uproar over the Rutgers women's basketball team "nappy -headed Ho's" comment was overwrought in my opinion, Imus is still a loser to these eyes and ears and I believed that well before that controversy. After awhile, the same tired, cliched, lockerroom talk gets stale. Imus has been making comments like that for years. The man took bad taste to new levels long ago.

8. Lisa Nowak, former Astronaut turned astro-nut. A married mother of three, I believe it is, Nowak drove 900 miles wearing a diaper, with a steel mallet, mace and other such weapons in a trash bag to stalk her romantic rival for a fellow Astronaut. In court back in the fall, Lisa Nowak issued sort of a non-apology aploogy to the other woman.

If that's wasn't bad enough, Nowak is trying to beat the rap by claiming through her attorney she is afflicted with an obscure affliction known as Asperger's Syndrome, which stunts a person's ability to relate to others among other things. Sounds bogus to me. With the rigorous tests Astronauts are surely put through, both physical and psychological, one would think NASA would have stumbled onto Ms. Nowak's condition at some point.

Late night comedians were supplied with material for months due to this case, but in spite of that, Lisa Nowak makes the list of the #8 Biggest Loser of 2007.

Marquis, many people consider Giuliani a "liberal" in this part of the country. I can't say 100% that there was no consideration as to anyone on the list's politics, but it was not the primary reason they made it. I have no idea what most of their politics are. As hard as GWB tried, he failed to make the cut..., maybe next year...Extremists always seem to see boogieman biases everywhere they look. If you want your criticisms to be taken seriously, I would suggest you come up with a response better than "the list sucked". Lame.

I Could not help to notice that you have a lot of "right wing" thinking people on your list and not ONE liberal. Oh and I was surprised you had no George W. Bush on that list too. But anyway, the list sucked. Ann Coulter, Rudy Giuliani, the honorable Judge, and other great pro American people are not losers Mr., they are winners. Liberals are the losers of 2007 as they will be when they lose another election by trying to sack the poor Democrats. But I was glad to see you put one of the controlled houses of the Democrats there.
