New York Newspapers for New York Giants Coverage

I am sure there are many people out there looking for the best place to get the most information about the race to the Superbowl. I have researched NY newspapers and their websites and have come up with the top 4 for sports info.

My toppic is The NY Post. I found it would probably be the most appealing to the average sports fan, the layout is great and it offers a Team Tracker. This liitle tool gives you status updates on your favorite NY team from hockey to basketball. On the left hand side there is a listing of the many sports columnists they employ to write articles for them, all with strong opinions on who is going to take home a Superbowl ring this year. Like some of the other websites, they offer up to the minute scores in an easy to find ticker at the top of the page.

Another good choice is the NY Daily News. This has an "easy to find anything" layout and lots of articles for those of you enjoy more than just the pretty pictures. But if you would rather look at pictures they also offer picture galleries from recent games and even goes as far as offering video interviews via The Daily News Live with big names in sports such as Don King. If you missed that important game, they offer game re-caps as well.

Newsday is another New York paper that offers sports info on their website. Not as informative as the two above it, but nonetheless useful in its own right. It offers a sidebar with all sports from Tennis to Horse racing. They offer complete coverage on the upcoming NFC championship game. They also have sports blogs and a video clip player which is currently showing interviews with Giants fans. If click the complete coverage link, you will find a whole lot more information on the Giants upcoming game.

Last but certainly not least on the list is The NY Times. This paper does not offer near as much information as the other 3 above, but offers plenty of variety if you get tired of reading about only football. Layout is not the greatest, but this is not a sports orientated newspaper.
