She took it away.

I stare for a moment and there,
A halo of light,
It surrounds the very edges of her.
The moment slips away,
The next moment occurs.
Her smile, lights up the world.
My heart skips,
My breath catches,
And my body, my mind, my soul,
Join forces to make the moment
Last forever.

In that moment,
All the clarity of the ages sharpens in me.
In that moment,
A lifetime of happiness fills me.

In that moment,
All that has gone before jells
Into the perfect diamond,
Casting meaning on all facets of my life.

In that moment,
Angels sing and orchestras perform,
In symphony.
In that moment,
All other moments mean everything,
And nothing.

That moment passes,
And the next begins.

It was in that very moment,
She took my breathe away,
Has been taking it away,
Every second
Of every day,
For the past eleven years.
I don't always say it,
You can't always tell,
But that moment truly,
Has lasted forever,
Will last,
Forever.
