Studies show that many individuals that have stressed out pets are stress out themselves. Doga yoga, also known as "ruff yoga", can be beneficial to not only ones dog but to them as well. Those who take their dogs to doga yoga classes will perform the yoga moves along with a qualified instructor. Along with various moves, there is also meditation, and much deep eye contact. As time passes the dog and owner will begin to learn one another well and breathe together.

Doga is yoga for dogs. Dogs naturally stretch and change positions all throughout the day. Not only does doga allow ones dog to achieve a very calming affect it also is a great bonding experience as well. Dogs know when a person is tense as they carry a certain scent. However, when one is relaxed the dog relaxes as well. Doga is a great way for dogs and their owners to relax together.

Many times older dogs begin to experience pain and stiffness just as humans do. The moderate stretching or doga can help ease the pain a dog can experience as it ages. It matters not what age your dog may be, or the health they are in. Doga will help a dog be happier and more comfortable. When one makes use of doga yoga properly there is no need to worry that injury will occur to the animal. Animals are quite flexible; as this is made evident by the way they bend and move during their daily routine. Animals must stay flexible and they go through a number of stretching moves throughout the day to achieve this.

The doga yoga first began to catch on in the United States in the city of New York. The first doga class in the city was held in Madison Square Park and the owners of the pets read doggie related stories and shared lots of hugs and kisses with their pet. Along with the activities dogs were placed into doga positions that are designed to relax the pups and make for a more pleasant walking experience for both pups and owners alike.
