Homemade Gourmet Product Review

I first heard of Homemade Gourmet when I was at the mall. There was a craft show going on and a Homemade Gourmet consultant had set up a booth offering samples and selling mixes. I had a sample of the taco soup and was immediatley impressed. I spoke with the consultant and she informed me how easy it was to make and by buying a mix and a few ingredients I could make this for my family. I was very skeptical as I am by no means a cook, and thanked her for her time and filled out her questionnare and left.

A few weeks later the same consultant called me following up on my questionnare and suggested I have a Homemade Gourmet food show so I could at least see how easy the mixes were to use. I informed her that I hate inviting people to my house to spend money. She had me when she suggested that she would send me a catalog and if I thought the prices were too high she wouldn't bug me again. I took her up on this just to get her off the phone.

I received my catalog and was shocked to find the mixes were very reasonably priced between 3-7 dollars a piece. They also offer a wide variety in mixes, everything from drinks,desserts,soups, bread mixes as well as entrees. I was convinced to give the products a try. I however was not going to have a party. I ordered the taco soup mix and a few other mixes.

The mixes are really nice as they have the recipes and the ingredients to use under the front flap. The directions are printed clearly and are very easy to follow. I also liked how they have additional ideas printed on the flap as well. My soup turned out great and my husband was soon wanting more. I called my consultant and starting ordering more mixes.

I have found that the mixes are almost addictive, I have a hard time cooking without them. They just seem to make everything flow better in the kitchen for me. I have also bought mixes to give to friends and family and they are always a huge hit. Homemade Gourmet also has seasonal mixes as well as adds new products to their line frequently enough to avoid burnout of the same old thing.
