When on a skiing trip to Vail, Colorado, you might want to wash that white stuff from your eyes and sees what is around you more than first class skiing and snowboarding. Vail has many premier restaurants and fun bistros that will warm the chill from your body and will give the fun and the food to get your ready for another day on the slopes.

The Dusty Boot Steakhouse and Saloon offers fun, good food, and great drinks. Most sandwiches come in the popular ½ pound size and if you have a real appetite, you might want to order the 48 oz buffalo steak that will mellow any grumbling stomach. Open 11:30 am until the cooks tired, this is a most do stop over on your Vail vacation.

Another great dining spot, especially for lunch, is the Gore Creek Grill. Here you can get a hot, steaming bowl of Black Bean Soup for only $3.95. You can finish filling up with a Reuben and Sauerkraut with fries for under $8.00. Located in Vail Village, this little bistro will give you a good meal for less that you would pay closer to the ski lifts. Located at 223 Gore Creek Dr, this lunch restaurant gets crowed early, so you might want to try to eat outside lunch hours.

Michael's American Bistro located at 12 S. Frontage Rd. is a great restaurant off the beaten path of the ski slopes and located right next to I-70. So if you are just traveling through Vail on another destination, it is easy access from the freeway. With a mixture of French and American cuisine, there is a dish for any palette. Reasonably priced, it is one on the best small restaurants in Vail.

The Bully Ranch Restaurant located right outside the Sonnealp Resort has a mountain feel about the interior and great service. Their claim to fame is their corn bread.
