January 14, 2008 - Bobby Banhart, winner of MTV's A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, has finally spoken publicly about the end of the affair. Previously only Tila Tequila had been sounding off about the break up in the media and on her MySpace page.

Bobby Banhart reportedly wanted to "set the record straight " (Extra TV) after Tila Tequila again told the media that it was Bobby that broke up with her.

Tila Tequila Said

In a January 11, 2008 interview with Extra TV at Silver Spoon Hollywood Buffet, Tila Tequila reiterated her previous stance that Bobby Banhart had broken up with her before New Year's Eve.

When Extra TV asked Tila Tequila how the relationship with Bobby Banhart ended she said, "He called me a few days before New Years and broke it off!" (Extra TV video interview)

Bobby Banhart Said

In a recent interview with Extra TV, Bobby Banhart responded to Tila Tequila's interview with Extra TV.

"As far as I'm concerned, if that's what she needs to tell herself to make herself feel better, then that's all her," Bobby Banhart told Extra TV.

Bobby Banhart also takes a bit of the higher road when Extra TV tries to get him to tell the "truth" about Tila Tequila's bisexuality.

While Bobby does say that he believes based on what he saw that she truly is bisexual, he also stated, "It's not my place to even comment on it." (Extra TV video interview)

Agreeing to Disagree

Apparently the only thing these two young lovebirds can agree on at this point is the fact that it did not work out. They also both agree that work got in the way.

It is not surprising that a romance created on TV, for TV, did not have staying power.

It can be difficult for two people who love each other and have the same lifestyle to make it work. It must be even more difficult for people from two different lifestyles to make a relationship work, especially when one is famous and spends a lot of time in front of the camera.

Another reason these type of reality TV relationships do not last is because the couple is often not allowed to stay together after the show, at least not until after the finale airs on TV.

come on, there was no break up as there was no relationship to break up. What motivation does he have to lie. HE isn't the media slut.

Great scoop, Pam! Relationships made on television just don't sit well with me.

So well researched! Nicely written, too.
