The Soleus LX-140 portable air conditioner is a space-saving appliance. In addition to cooling, it also dehumidifies, fans, and heats the room. This 1350-watt air conditioner provides 14,000 cooling BTUs and 11,000 heating BTUs. The price of the Soleus LX-140 ranges from $500 to $700.  

One of the best features of the Soleus LX-140 portable air conditioner is that you don't have to empty a water tank. Moisture that collects inside is expelled through an exhaust duct. However for use in extremely humid areas, the Soleus LX-140 is equipped with an emergency tank that will help to prevent water from damaging your floor or carpet.

The Soleus LX-140 portable air conditioner also features a multi-color VFD display on the control panel. VFD displays generate their own light, so they are brighter than LED display. The display also offers more contrast so you can read it better in direct sunlight.

In addition to controlling the device with the onboard control panel, you can also use the included remote control. The remote control allows you to program settings then transfer the information to the control panel on the Soleus LX-140. You can set the temperature, mode, and timer with either control option.

The Soleus LX-140 also features a 24-hour programmable timer. The air conditioner also has a memory function, so you only have to program it once even if the machine loses power. You can save your settings for your preferred temperature as well as the times you want the unit to start and stop.

The Soleus LX-140 portable air conditioner is equipped with two separate motors. One motor is designed to deliver cool air, while the other motor is designed to cool the condenser and compressor. The Soleus LX-140 also uses aluminum fan blades to distribute condensation over the condenser to increase the efficiency of the unit. The fan can operate at three different speeds and helps to improve air circulation.
