Juno is an excellent film that has viewers raving throughout the country. It stars actress Ellen Page, who has been recognized by viewers for her part in X-Men as the teenage girl who sucks people's powers from them. In Juno, Ellen Page is the focal point of the movie as she plays the role of a 16 year old girl named Juno. Juno deserves to be named the Best Picture of the Year and while I wont go so far as to say that Ellen Page should win the award for Best Actress, she certainly should get nominated for the award. The film is emotional, dramatic and witty and viewers will learn to love the character of Juno. The film is about a 16 year old girl who gets pregnant after convincing her boyfriend to have sex when the couple is bored. Juno's boyfriend is a track nerd who genuinely cares about Juno. It is Juno who breaks off their relationship when she learns that she is pregnant.
The story also follows the relationship that Juno has with her father and step mother who Juno initially hates. By the end of the movie, Juno learns to appreciate and maybe even love her step mother.
Juno initially tries to get an abortion, knowing full well that she cannot take care of the baby as a teenage. However, after being in the waiting room of an abortion clinic and seeing a girl from school protest abortions, Juno decides that she will have the baby and then donate it to a couple who want a child. It is this story that takes up much of the film as Juno interacts with the married couple who want to have the child. Juno has a liking towards the man who is into the similar music tastes as her and is very wealthy. The wife of the married couple is played by actress Jennifer Garner.
The film also shows the treatment that Juno receives in her school from her peers and teachers as Juno becomes pregnant and becomes a recurring joke in her school among kids. It is this emotional breakdown that Juno has during the movie as she struggles to define her relationship with her longtime friend and the baby's father, Bleeker.
