Prom! The one event that high school girls consider to be the determining moment for the rest of there lives. First, girls no matter if your prom turns out to be exactly like you dreamed, a little different then you hoped or a complete disaster you will still remember it for ever. You likely will have more great memories from the prom that wasn't perfect then the one that was exactly like you dreamed. One way to ensure that you feel confident and beautiful on prom night is to find a dress you love. There are five easy steps to help you find the dress of your dreams.

1) Decide Your Style

Decide on the style of dress you want. Do you want a Cinderella style ball gown, a short simple dress, something vintage, a cute little black dress or something that is fun and easy to dance in?

2) Look online or in Magazines

Getting an idea of colors styles and stores will help you with your decision making. If you find a dress you like online for cheaper then those of the same brand and dress in a local boutique. Go to store and try on the same dress or a similar cut dress by the same designer. Almost any dress can be altered.

3) Fit over Fashion

A dress that fits well and a flattering cut will always looks better, then the most fashionable dress that makes you look lumpy or square. You will also feel more beautiful in a dress that fits well, that you don't spend all night pulling up, over or down. Make sure that your dress fits in the bust to help prevent overexposure, and so that all night it will not be a job to keep up the dress.

4) Stay to your budget

If you find a gorgoeus dress that its out of your budget, do not buy it with out considering carefully how the purchase of a pricey dress will affect the funds you have left to finish your outfit. Be sure to consider shoes, accessories, garters, hair and everything else you might want or need.

5) Comfort

Be sure to try on and walk in your dress and shoes, so that you can be sure that you can walk and move in your dress. If you can't move or fall of the stage, no matter how beautiful your dress, you will not be comfortable or have a good time.
