I love to pamper myself, especially when it comes to my scalp and hair. Most shampoo's, other than dandruff, are meant to do one thing: clean the hair. But our scalp often gets ignored. The skin is our bodies largest organ, and our scalp needs to be nourished like the rest of our skin. Yes To Carrots shampoo, containing carrot juice, vitamins, and minerals meant to do just that, nourish the scalp.

Description

"Yes to Carrots Carrot Juice Shampoo" is a new to America product, which comes in a oddly sized plastic bottle, containing 16.9 ounces. The carrot juices gives this luxurious shampoo it's signature orange color. The front of the bottle reads: "Blended with dead sea mud, carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato, melon, orange and honey." It is appropriate for all types of hair, from oily to normal to dry.

Ingredients

Spring Water and (Dead) Sea Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Magnesium Chloride, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, Carrot Seed Oil, Carrot Juice, Organic Extracts of: Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Melon, Orange & Honey, Fragrance, Algae Extracts (Rhodella, Dunaliella and Spirulina), Silt (Dead Sea Mud), Niacinamide, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Ginkgo Biloba, Imidazolidinyl Urea.

My Thoughts

My hair dresser told me years ago that when you wash your hair (and any other time of the day as well), it's very healthy to massage your scalp. This really helps improve circulation and improves the skin tone. I love getting my hair cut, because when she washes it, she gives me a good scalp massage at the same time. Because I was aware of this, it didn't surprise me in the least to read the directions on "Yes To Carrots", which suggests you massage your hair and scalp for 2 minutes! That's just excellent advice, and doing so really makes the hair look cleaner and fuller. It also helps to generate suds, and this shampoo doesn't produce a lot of lather.
