On the same day in Tampa, FL "Walk for Judy" in memory and in honor of Judy Bourdage Jackson, who passed away from pancreatic cancer will take place at 3 p.m. at Davis Islands Playground & Baseball Fields, 157 Columbia Drive. The Tampa Bay Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is presenting the event. After the walk there will be a picnic in the park with live music until sundown. In unrelated news, if you know anyone who's a real people person, suggest that they become a DFW Ambassador Volunteer and lend a helping hand to travelers at DFW International Airport in Dallas. As one of the world's busiest airports, DFW served more than 59 million passengers in 2005, according to their website. International passengers particularly benefit from volunteers who are bilingual. Ambassadors must attend a three-hour orientation session to become familiar with the program. Following orientation, volunteers will receive classroom and on-the-job training in the field. Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of one four-hour shift weekly. They also get the chance to be part of behind-the-scenes tours and programs and receive free parking while they work.
